John Tesh is different from most “crossover artists” in contemporary Christian music.
While some artists strive to reach a broader audience outside of the church, Tesh is bringing his music to the church and using it to inspire worship within the Christian community.
“Christmas Worship” is a collection of songs meant to lead the listener into a worship experience while celebrating the Christmas season. The album begins with the striking anthem “This Is Your Gift,” a call to celebrate each day that God has given us. Included on the project are several instrumental arrangements of traditional Christmas songs like “Joy to the World” and “Away in a Manger,” original compositions like “It Wouldn’t Be Christmas Without You,” and popular worship songs like “We Fall Down” and “Awesome God.”
“God in the Stairwell” is a moving narration that affirms God’s presence in the midst of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
“Christmas Worship” is an eclectic compilation of songs that encompasses the full impact of Christ’s birth.
