KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Alabama native Charles Warren is the new senior executive assistant to the president and director for institutional effectiveness at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Mo. He began Oct. 1.
“I believe God has gifted Dr. Warren with the many talents required for these vital positions,” said Midwestern President Phil Roberts. “I am confident he will be a wonderful addition.”
Warren most recently was an adjunct professor at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, N.C. He holds a Ph.D. in theology from Southeastern, specializing in systematic theology with an emphasis on anthropology and harmartiology. He also has a master of divinity degree from Southeastern and a bachelor’s degree from Auburn University.
Warren has served in the U.S. Navy and worked 32 years as an engineer in the nuclear power, aerospace and manufacturing industries. He was co-owner of an electrical construction and engineering design firm in Dothan. He and his wife, Aileen, have two children and four grandchildren.
