Four-time Dove Award winner Clay Crosse has released “reDedication,” his 10th album and his first new project since 2009.

Those familiar with Crosse and his music aren’t surprised with the “blue-eyed soul” moniker that’s often used to describe his powerful and expressive voice. Slightly twangy and more than a little southern-flavored, it’s the voice all we wannabe singers wish we could pull off. This new project provides an excellent vehicle for Crosse’s new soul-twinged and deeply personal songs.

The record starts with a bang with “I Rest In You,” and doesn’t let you breathe until near the end when Crosse covers “The Stand.” “When I Lift My Hands” and “Working On A Building” are the record’s strongest singles and may be the best Crosse has ever released. The thumping rocker “Vessel” is another that you’ll almost certainly hear on Christian radio during your daily commute.

“I experienced a personal, formal rededication of my life to Christ in 1998,” Crosse said regarding the title of his new CD. “And that decision has been working in me ever since.” Crosse’s well-publicized personal struggles during his early career add poignancy to this new project and it’s title. We’re reminded that God’s grace is boundless and His love endless. You’ll want to hear this one.
