As a genre, Contemporary Christian music continues to grow in its diversity offering a vast number of sounds and styles that appeal to an equal number of listeners.
This trend is due in part to bands like Salvador that choose to present the message of God’s love in a sonic blend of Latin, funk and pop.
With their latest release, “Into Motion,” Salvador displays a more cohesive sound.
This unity of sound is the result of the sheer number and intensity of the band’s live performances.
The opening track “Breathing Life,” penned by Cindy Morgan and Chris Eaton, resembles the sound of mainstream artist Seal.
“God People” is a celebrative song with blaring horns and driving percussion.
Thematically, the album is summed up in the song “When I Pray.” “The very same God/ That put the world into motion/ Is listening today/ He hears what I say/When I pray.”
“Into Motion” is a vibrant collection of songs from a group that continues to press the boundaries of style and diversity in Christian music.
Salvador is a multitalented band with a heart for God and His people.
