Alabama Baptists were among 70 Southern Baptists from 35 states who were appointed to serve in several capacities for the 2014–15 Southern Baptist Convention annual meeting.
The Committee on Committees named Steve Scoggins, pastor of First Baptist Church, Opelika, as chair of the 2015 Committee on Nominations, and Bob Forbus, First Baptist Church, Jasper, to serve with him on the Committee on Nominations.
