WEST CULLMAN
Edwin Hayes has been named pastor emeritus of First Church, Cullman. He served as pastor of First, Cullman, from 1983 to 2013. He previously served as pastor of First Church, Centre, and First Church, New Smyrna Beach, Florida. After retiring in 2013 he served as interim pastor of First Church, Arab, and Cave Spring Church, Decatur. Hayes also served as a trustee for the North American Mission Board and on the board of ministerial mentors of Samford University in Birmingham. He currently serves as a trustee for Southern Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, and on the board of governors of Judson College in Marion. Hayes holds a bachelor’s degree from Samford, a master’s degree from Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, and a doctorate from New Orleans Seminary. He is available for interim or supply work.
