NASHVILLE — Year-to-date contributions to Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) national and international missions and ministries received by the SBC Executive Committee (EC) are 4.18 percent above the year-to-date budgeted projection, and are 0.81 percent below contributions received during the same time frame in 2016, according to a news release from the EC President and CEO Frank S. Page.
As of April 30, gifts received by the EC for distribution through the Cooperative Program Allocation Budget through the first seven months of the Convention’s fiscal year totaled $114,863,112.59. This total is $4,613,112.59 above the $110,250,000.00 year-to-date budgeted amount to support SBC ministries globally and across North America and is $943,491.69 less than the $115,806,604.28 received through the end of April 2016.
Designated giving of $130,209,445.43 for the same year-to-date period is 9.47 percent, or $13,622,375.37, below gifts of $143,831,820.80 received at this point in 2016. (BP)
