Faith Chapel Church, Marion, will celebrate its 70th anniversary with a homecoming service Oct. 7 at 11 a.m. Donald Harris will preach, and Belinda Davis will share special music. Lunch and music will follow the service. Lloyd Stockman is pastor.
University of Alabama student Morgan Kohn has a busy schedule. He is involved in Al’s Pals, a mentoring program with local schools in Tuscaloosa, and he is active in several ministries at Calvary Baptist Church.

What do you suppose it would be like to have Jesus as your older half-brother? To grow up in the same family as the Son of God? To have a senior sibling who is incapable of sin, who leads a perfect life?
The idea was so uncomfortable at first. Emma Kate Taylor didn’t even know if it would work. “I didn’t want to be seen as weird,” she said.
