ABREA to hold annual gathering at Crossroads Community Church

The Alabama Baptist Religious Education Association (ABREA) exists to support and encourage staff members who lead Christian education and discipleship ministries in their church. It helps those who build the local church be more effective as they seek to reach people and make disciples. The organization provides ministers with training opportunities, encouragement, networking and mentoring.

The 2019 ABREA annual gathering with be held Jan. 24–25, at Crossroads Community Church, Elmore.

Disciple makers

Chris Moody, a member of the board of directors for discipleFirst, an organization that focuses on building and expanding disciple-making churches locally and globally, will discuss the “Making DiscipleMakers” model of ministry and how it can be implemented in individual churches across the state, the country and the world.

The environment for the conference will be casual and relaxed so participants can focus on learning, fellowshipping and networking.

The annual banquet will be held Jan. 24 and will offer a great time of fellowship with other ministers and spouses from around the state.

During the annual meeting there also will be time for the Alabama Regional Groups to meet, network and share about what God is doing in the different areas around the state.
