Adult education minister of Mount Zion Baptist in Huntsville retires

Terry Slay, minister of adult education of Mount Zion Baptist Church, Huntsville, for almost 14 years, recently retired. A reception was held July 12 in his honor. Slay also served on staff at the following churches: Hunter Street Baptist, Hoover; First Baptist Opelika; Huffman Baptist, Birmingham; and Calvary Baptist, Dothan. He enjoyed ministering to young men while serving as team chaplain for several high school football teams in Alabama. He and his wife, Teresa, have two adult children and five grandchildren.
