Wondering how to get a missions program started at your church, or how to take the one you already have to the next level? Or maybe you’d just like to be able to connect with more missionaries on the field and hear what God is doing there in real time.
Wherever you might find yourself, Alabama Woman’s Missionary Union now has a variety of online webinars on their Missions Discipleship LeaderConnect webpage to fit your need.
The webinars are available for leaders or potential leaders of all age levels — preschool, children, students and adults. You can get a feel for what it might be like to lead a group just by watching one of the webinars. For instance, there’s one from Candace McIntosh, executive director of Alabama WMU, that you could watch to hear her heart about what it’s like to be a WMU director in a church.
Regularly scheduled Zoom calls are another resource that’s available online to help you get connected with missions. Through the call, you can talk to missionaries on the field and pray with them.
“Everyone who is in those calls is on the edge of their seat,” McIntosh said. “At the end of the call, you feel like you’ve gotten to know the missionary’s heart and hear some pretty incredible things from closed areas of the world.”
