Alabama Women’s Hall of Fame

The Alabama Women’s Hall of Fame (AWHF) is soliciting nominations for the 2010 induction, which will be held March 4 during Women’s History Month.

The AWHF, housed in Asa Howard Bean Hall at Judson College in Marion, has honored the accomplishments of Alabama women since 1971. 

The AWHF board of directors invites nominations of distinguished women of the state who have influenced others’ lives and made significant contributions through their personal or professional lives on a state, national or international level. Nominees should be native to or closely associated with the state of Alabama. Two nominees are selected each year for induction, and only those who have been deceased for two years or more are considered.

The deadline for nominations is Aug. 1.
