I thank you for your coverage of the FAITH Sunday School evangelism strategy. Alabama Baptist churches are continuing to place their trust in God and sharing the gospel. Numerous Alabama Baptist churches are utilizing or considering the FAITH strategy to assist them in that endeavor. I want to clear up one misunderstanding (from the Aug. 17 article, titled “FAITH training”) related to the teaching of forgiveness in the FAITH strategy. While forgiveness among believers is important, the biblical principle used in FAITH is that a person “cannot have heaven or eternal life without God’s forgiveness.”
