According to Bill Oesterle, co-founder and CEO of Angie’s List, one can’t be a public company CEO and work on political and social issues at the same time.
Oesterle resigned from the company that provides paid subscribers with product and services reviews April 22 after it spoke out against the Indiana Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA), saying it opens the door to discrimination against gays.
“I have decided to … pursue other interests, including becoming more civically involved in the State of Indiana,” Oesterle told USA Today.
According to Christianity Today, Family Research Council’s Tony Perkins accused Oesterle in a written statement of jumping into the “misinformation bandwagon” of the left wing to fight against RFRA and other forms of religious freedom.
