Reports given by the Audit and Insurance committees to the 1,490 messengers of the 2001 Alabama Baptist State Convention (ABSC) reflected affairs of all entities were in healthy conditions.
The insurance and audit committees met at the State Board of Missions (SBOM) office in Montgomery Oct.1. The audit committee, chaired by Phyllis S. Ingram, reviewed audits of financial reports, and the insurance committee, with Evan Zeiger serving as chairman, evaluated the insurance coverage of specific properties owned by the State Board of Missions and entities of the ABSC.
The entities that the Audit Committee oversees are: The Alabama Baptist, Inc., the Alabama Baptist Children’s Homes and Family Ministries, the Alabama Baptist Historical Commission, the Alabama Baptist Retirement Centers, the Baptist Foundation of Alabama, Judson College, the University of Mobile, Samford University, Shocco Springs, SBOM, Board of Aid and Alabama Woman’s Missionary Union. The insurance committee oversees the above mentioned entities as well, except for the Board of Aid.
