Babbie Baptist Church, Andalusia, celebrated its 75th anniversary Sept. 8.
The service began with a baptism. Special music included the children’s choir and a duet sung by Nancy Cole and her daughter Katie Machen.
Nine members also shared their testimonies. Jim Lambert, a commissioner with the Alabama Baptist Historical Commission, presented a plaque to the church with key leaders accepting the honor including Pastor Dwayne Seay.
Gary Miller, a former pastor in Covington Association, brought the message. At the close of the service, everyone came to the altar and prayed for the pastor and his wife, Elizabeth. The celebration concluded with lunch in the fellowship hall.
