I am writing in regard to the Ghana Bandage Project. This is a project to send bandages and unused offering envelopes to the Baptist Medical Centre in Ghana, West Africa. Ghana was featured in the Jan.-Feb. 2001 issue of The Commission magazine.
Tabernacle Baptist Church in Cartersville, Ga., will be the shipping center for this project.
We will repack these supplies into 55 gallon drums and then ship them to the hospital.
The pharmacy at the hospital uses us to 5,000 envelopes a week to dispense pills. Look around your church and gather those old boxes that are collecting dust.
The bandages can be torn out of old sheets.
For more information on how to roll bandages or where to send supplies, contact Vicki Barnes at 770-386-2890 or e-mail vbarnes275@aol.com.
