Diana R. Garland, dean of the Baylor University school of social work, presented the James A. Auchmuty Congregational Leadership Lecture at Samford University March 6. Garland spoke about how churches can minister to the less fortunate. Auchmuty is pastor emeritus of Shades Crest Baptist Church, Hoover.
