Bemiston Baptist calls new pastor

Jerry Colquett is the new pastor of Bemiston Baptist Church, Talladega, where he has been serving as interim.

Colquett previously retired from Lineville Baptist Church after serving as pastor for 33 years. He also served as pastor of Little River Baptist Church, Uriah, and Carr-ville Baptist Church, Tallassee.

He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama and a graduate degree from Southwestern Seminary. He and his wife, Carolyn, have two children and five grandchildren.
