Members of Camp Springs Church, Columbia, honored Bob Pemberton and his wife, Evelyn, on Dec. 11, 2016, for his service as the church’s interim pastor for more than six months in 2016 while the church sought its new pastor, Kevin Freeman (noted in the Jan. 19 issue of The Alabama Baptist). Kenneth Burkett, chairman of deacons, presented the Pembertons with a plaque for their service on their last Sunday.
