I always try to review at least one Christmas devotional book at this time. Pickings were a little slim this year, but that’s ok; I found a good one. The two things that convinced me to look closer at this one are the beautiful cover and the author, Pastor James Merritt. I was not disappointed.

Like most other Christmas devotional books, “The 25 Days of Christmas” is family-oriented, designed to help adults communicate the real meaning of Christmas, circumventing some of the commercialism that has taken over the season. Each day’s devotion includes a short story, a Scripture reference, a brief prayer and an activity designed for the whole family — sharing thoughts, creating cards, singing songs — something different each day.

This book is beautiful enough to give as a gift, and it even has a place inside the front cover for the name of the family and a date.

If you are looking for a solid and easy devotional book for Christmas, this may be what you are looking for.
