Boycott Word Faith TV

Now that the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) has finally withdrawn from Baptist World Alliance due to their endorsement of gays and female ministers, I hope they will take a look at the participation of Southern Baptist ministers and SBC officials’ support of Trinity Broadcast Network and Inspirational Network. These networks use 90 percent of the programming time to promote the Word Faith Movement (WFM) that stars Kenneth Copeland, Kenneth Hagin, Fred Price and Rod Parsley just to name a few. They claim to speak to and physically walk with God. Kenneth Copeland described Jesus as being “6 foot 2 inches, weighs 200 pounds and has a hand span of nine inches” (Copeland’s tape number 01-3001 entitled “Following the Faith of Abraham”). These men use the term “God (Jesus) said or tells me” this or that. This involves healing and prophecy. Paul Crouch, owner of TBN, said anyone who questions their beliefs are damned to hell. He thinks there is no redemption for them.

The apostle Paul has some strong words for these people in Galatians 1:6–9. I feel that our SBC ministers who participate on these networks are helping to support the Word Faith Movement.

To boycott TBN and Inspirational Network would be a good beginning.
