Cecil O. Brown, former pastor of Keener Baptist Church, died Dec. 11. He was 83. A Chapman native, Brown received his bachelor’s degree in religion from Howard College (now Samford University) in Birmingham and master’s and doctorate degrees from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
