Many of you are aware that, in the Lomwe geographic area, there are five other People Groups presently not specifically targeted by the International Mission Board.
The Kokola people of Malawi and Mozambique have no written language, no missionary of any denomination and only a tiny percentage of true Christian believers. After more than a year of Bob’s monthly teaching trips to Foti, the first 17 Kokolaland Baptists in Malawi were baptized July 3.
Bob and his Malawian Baptist pastor friend taught the more than 60 baptismal candidates beliefs of the Baptists, along with the previous week’s teachings concerning strongholds and the spiritual realm. Only 17 were willing to publicly renounce witchcraft, drunkenness, polygamy, charms and other ancestral traditions.
Pray for the safety, health and prosperity of these new believers as a testimony to God’s power. Pray that our Lord will send a career Christian missionary to the Kokola people.
