Camp Creek Baptist in Fruithurst celebrates 175th anniversary

Camp Creek Baptist Church, Fruithurst, celebrated its 175th anniversary Dec. 1.

It was one of the founding churches of Cleburne Association when it was established in 1899. Larry Vinson, the association’s mission strategist, presented a commemorative plaque to the church on behalf of the Alabama Baptist Historical Commission.

Accepting the plaque was David Morrow, who has been pastor of the church for more than 15 years.
