University of Mobile Names Alumni Programs and Annual Giving Director: The University of Mobile (UM) announced the appointment of Lauren McCaghren as senior director for alumni programs and annual giving Dec. 6.
Prior to UM, McCaghren served in areas of alumni relations and fundraising at Samford University in Birmingham. As senior director of alumni programs and annual giving at Samford, she expanded homecoming activities, established an alumni volunteer program, re-established alumni chapters in eight cities, created an internal alumni professionals network and instituted an Alumni Showcase.
