Show Me Your Way
Difference Records

If you were to handpick a male quartet to take into the recording studio these days, you couldn’t do much better than Canton Junction has done with Aaron Crabb, Tim Duncan, Matthew Hagee and Michael Sykes (although Shane McConnell has now replaced Sykes). Collectively these men have garnered more than a dozen GMA Dove Awards, several Grammy nominations and numerous other personal awards and honors.

Among the 14 songs on “Show Me Your Way” are five live performance tracks including “Hold On,” the successful radio chart song from the group’s first CD. Much of this sophomore release was co-produced by Sykes and Crabb. If that’s not enough magic for you, throw in the piano/keyboard duties of both Gary Prim and Gordon Mote.

And there are also the always-sweet arrangements of Nashville’s Steve Mauldin.

The recording is full of classics such as “I Wouldn’t Take Nothin’ for My Journey Now,” “Dig a Little Deeper in God’s Love” and a superb job by bass crooner Tim Duncan on “The Son Shines Down on Me.” And make sure you enjoy the wonderful harmonies on “Softly and Tenderly.”

When the CD slips away from traditional southern gospel, the message remains strong in “Show Me Your Way,” “The Inviting Christ” or “Glorify.”
