A couple who recently put their faith in Jesus Christ were slashed to death Feb. 2 outside their home in Uganda while their four young children were inside the house.
Uganda’s constitution and laws allow for freedom of religion, including converting from one faith to another. However, Christian churches increasingly have received threats of violence, the World Atlas reports.
Nigeria has led the world in the number of Christians killed for their faith or kidnapped. Nigeria is No. 6 on Open Doors’ 2024 World Watch List of places most difficult to be a Christian.
