Chris Britton is the new pastor of County Line Church, Deatsville. He previously served as youth pastor for Center-Point Fellowship Church, Prattville. He also served at East Memorial Church, Prattville. Britton and his wife, Kim, have four children.
What do you suppose it would be like to have Jesus as your older half-brother? To grow up in the same family as the Son of God? To have a senior sibling who is incapable of sin, who leads a perfect life?
The idea was so uncomfortable at first. Emma Kate Taylor didn’t even know if it would work. “I didn’t want to be seen as weird,” she said.
It’s not something you see every day — even at an airport. A routine security screening at Alabama’s Gulf Shores International Airport led to the recovery of five stolen Civil War-era cannonballs hidden in a passenger’s checked suitcase.
Ask many young adults why they are going to college, and they’ll likely say something along the lines of “to get a job.” Ask them what kind of job — and why that’s the one they want — might give them pause.
