A Christian woman in Pakistan is reportedly in critical condition after two men brutally raped her.
The 25-year-old woman — whose name is withheld for safety reasons — was attacked April 11 as she worked in an orchard in Pakistan’s Punjab province, reports Christian Daily International-Morning Star News.
One of the two Muslim males she identified as perpetrators is the contractor who had hired her — and other females from Chak No. 175-RB Shahkot village — to harvest lemons.
As she got water to drink during a break, the contractor and an accomplice allegedly grabbed her at gunpoint and forced her into a building. She told the news outlet that she was bound and gagged, then raped at least twice before falling unconscious.
When she regained consciousness, she escaped, then collapsed near home.
Tariq Masih said his niece had to be transferred to hospital for specialized treatment because her condition worsened.

He told Christian Daily-Morning Star that, since he filed a police report, the accused man and his kin “are threatening us with violence.”
Pakistan is No. 8 on Open Doors’ 2026 World Watch List of the 50 places most difficult to be a Christian.
