According to the “Christian perspective” article in the Dec. 15 issue of The Alabama Baptist, our church is among the majority canceling all but one service on Christmas because it falls on Sunday. I do not criticize our leaders for this decision, since given the state of today’s worshiper, I would make the same decision; however, the thought of canceling worship services to celebrate the Christmas holy day seems to me to be an oxymoron!
My father tells of his parents’ solution to which denomination to attend. His mother’s family attended on Saturday and his father’s on Sunday. The solution was to attend both.
