Maker of the Stars
Homeland
Also promoting a Christmas release this year is the Cockman Family — a huge family from North Carolina who’s getting a lot of attention for its bluegrass-gospel stylings.
There are 13 tunes on “Maker of the Stars,” many of which are classic Christmas selections.
Old favorites such as “Joy to the World,” “Away in a Manger,” “Beautiful Star of Bethlehem,” “Silent Night,” “O Holy Night,” and “Go Tell It on the Mountain” are sure to find you singing along.
Members of the Cockman Family composed the rest: “Maker of the Stars,” “Christmas Time at Home,” “Bethlehem, Bethlehem,” “Angels Unaware,” “In the Stable,” “There’s a Light” and “Christmas Lullaby.”
Take some old-time gospel stylings and mix in some classic family harmonies and you’ll have the three generations of the Cockman Family.
The group’s appeal — from all 15 members of the immediate family — has grown to the point that the companion video piece to “Maker Of The Stars” has been picked up by national public television stations across the nation.
The hour-long video began airing in mid-November, so contact your local public television station for air dates and times.
