The financial affairs of the Alabama Baptist State Convention are in good condition, according to the Audit Committee.
The Audit Committee conducts an extensive audit each year of the entities of the Alabama Baptist State Convention.
Rick Lance, executive director of the Alabama State Board of Missions, said no areas of concern were reported for any entity.
The Insurance Committee also found affairs in equally good shape.
Rickey Michael, chair of the Insurance Committee, reported to messengers that Alabama Baptist entities and the State Board of Missions have adequate insurance coverage on their properties.
The Book of Reports stated that “great strides have been made by all parties in protecting themselves from catastrophic events that could have a detrimental impact on their ministry.”
The committee also expressed its appreciation to the State Board of Missions and all entities of the Alabama Baptist State Convention for their consistent cooperation.
