Cook Springs Baptist in Pell City calls new pastor

Tim Childers is the new pastor of Cook Springs Baptist Church, Pell City, where he had been serving as interim.

A native of Piedmont, Childers retired from full-time ministry in July 2023 after serving almost 40 years in Alabama, Louisiana, Tennessee and Georgia. He holds a bachelor of general studies degree from Samford University and a master’s of religious education from New Orleans Seminary.

He and his wife, Debbie, have been married 48 years and have two children and seven grandchildren.
