The 9th annual Old Howard 100 Bike Ride took place April 20 commencing at Judson College in Marion. The ride includes historic sites in the Black Belt area of Alabama. According to registration secretary Ken Kirby of Samford University, 272 riders gathered from around the Southeast to participate in planned routes of 34, 43, 75 and 101 miles. All proceeds from the rides benefit Sowing Seeds of Hope, Perry County’s interfaith initiative for community improvement.
