Pastor Danny Wiggins said a lot of unexpected things can happen in 20 years — like he never thought he would have to put two roofs on County Line Baptist Church, Enterprise, in that short span.
But other things have added up to more than what he ever dreamed too. In the past two decades, the church has given about $1 million to missions. County Line Baptist also has sent teams on missions trips and started an outreach to a local trailer park.
“As a church, we’ve been very, very blessed,” he said. “It’s a generous church for missions. It was that way before I got here, and it’s continued to be more and more that way all the time.”
County Line Baptist celebrated Wiggins’ 20th anniversary April 8 with a celebration that included a covered-dish lunch. A native of south Georgia, Wiggins and his wife, Beth, served for five years in Phoenix before moving to Enterprise with their two children.
“Our children were 4 and 6 years old when we moved here, and they have grown up through the church,” Wiggins said. “It’s a gracious church with gracious folks. They’ve been good to us.” (TAB)
