Emmanuel Baptist in Ariton celebrates 50th anniversary

Emmanuel Baptist Church, Ariton, celebrated its 50th anniversary May 3. Randall Johnson, a former pastor, was the guest preacher and musician. The church history was shared by member Catherine Phillips. During the service, Jane Hughes, a commissioner of the Alabama Baptist Historical Commission, presented a commemorative plaque, with pastor Randy Campbell accepting on behalf of the congregation. A luncheon was served following the service.
