Four of our team units are struggling with language study. Pray that God will give them keen hearing and understanding and memory.
Ask that the little language they have already learned will open doors and hearts to them so they can show God’s love to those who don’t yet know Him.
December 17, 2006, was a glorious day for the church as we welcomed six new members from four different countries into membership.
Thank you so much for praying for the Christmas presentation in the ladies sewing class Dec. 11. Fifteen ladies from six countries and four non-Christian religions were present.
With this group, it was so thrilling to give the story to those who did not know it. The four ladies from Afghanistan (Muslim) heard the Scripture in their own language for the first time.
They have heard the Word and know it is from those they can trust. We pray that it is the beginning of their journey to Christ.
The lady with the most rapt attention is from Taiwan, and we feel she is near to trusting Christ as she continues in Bible study. We pray that the seeds that were planted there will grow into full grown faith in the days ahead.
Shahid, the youth Muslim who accepted Christ at a Youth Alpha Study, has been told that his family will disown him if he is a Christian. Pray for his wisdom, strength and protection. Ask that the Christian community around him will be family and encouragement to him.
Pray for Sylvie, a refugee from Sudan who is the only member of her family to survive and escape killings there. She is alone in Cardiff and recently gave birth to a boy who she named Emanuel.
She is a Christian but has so many needs in her disrupted and unsettled life.
