FBC Montevallo calls new pastor

Dennis Culbreth is the new pastor of First Baptist Church Montevallo, Alabama. With more than 45 years of ministry experience, Culbreth started his new position Feb. 1. He most recently served as director of missions for Hamilton County Baptist Association in Chattanooga, Tennessee, for the past decade.

Culbreth has served churches, associations, state conventions, the North American Mission Board and on various committees and boards at the Southern Baptist Convention level throughout his ministry career. He has a bachelor of arts from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama; a master of divinity from Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas; and a doctor of ministry from Southern Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky.

Culbreth and his wife of more than 40 years, Marybeth, have three children.
