Harriet Jones, church pianist for First Baptist Church LaFayette, was honored with a surprise celebration at the conclusion of the July 26 worship service. She was recognized for her 50 years of ministry in this position and received a plaque presented by deacon chair Calvin Milford and Pastor Dan Jacobs. The church held a reception following the service.
