Isabel Shaw Andrews Triplitt died on March 23 in Columbus, Georgia. She was 101.
She was a graduate of Shorter College in Rome, Georgia.
While she helped run Hilltop Farm in Bleeker, Alabama, for nearly 50 years, she also was a lifelong Southern Baptist and devoted to missions. She served as Alabama’s Woman’s Missionary Union president for four years (1968–1973) when she was a member of Concord Baptist Church in Salem.
Triplitt was preceded in death by her sisters, Mabel Andrews and Augusta Burrus and husbands Francis Singer and Joe Will Triplitt. She is survived by her sister, Katharine Triplitt; daughters, Bitsy Singer and Gail Triplitt Newman; five granddaughters; and four great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life service will be held Tuesday, April 8 at 2 p.m. at Porter Chapel at First Baptist Church Columbus, Georgia.
