Harold Cleveland Proctor, 91, died Jan. 10. Proctor, an Eagle Scout, held a bachelor’s degree from Howard College (now Samford University) and master of divinity degree from Southwestern Seminary.
Ordained in 1949 at Hunter Street Baptist Church, Birmingham (now located in Hoover), he was a minister for 72 years. He served churches in Texas, Georgia and Alabama: 66th Street Baptist Church, Birmingham; First Baptist Church Albertville; Huffman Baptist Church, Birmingham; and New Temple Baptist Church, Dora. He was preceded in death by his wife of 29 years, Peggy.
He is survived by his seven children, 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
