Q: How did you become a Christian?
A: I was baptized at 12. I walked down the aisle on Easter Sunday morning.
Q: What led you to serve in the ministry?
A: I was in the same church my whole life — we are a tight-knit community … [I] felt this was what the Lord wanted me to do.
Q: Why have you continued serving in the ministry?
A: It’s just where I feel like we are supposed to be … deep roots here.
Q: What does the ministry demand?
A: There are three services a week … it’s something we put in the schedule and we are going to do.
Q: How do your family members support you?
A: [My] dad and mother were Sunday School teachers. We went to church no matter how late I came home Saturday night. … Sunday morning you get up and go. I grew up with a lot of encouragement from my parents.
Q: How do you see yourself involved in ministry service in the future?
A: Doing things outside of just our little church but I don’t see myself leaving our church.
