GREENSBORO, N.C. — Evangelist Keith Fordham of Fayetteville, Ga., will be nominated for first vice president of the Southern Baptist Convention. Fordham, a full-time evangelist for more than 33 years, was the 2004–2005 president of the Conference of Southern Baptist Evangelists (COSBE).
Fordham also has served as COSBE’s vice president and three terms as president of the Conference of Georgia Baptist Evangelists. He currently is chairman of COSBE’s “Low to No” baptism committee that schedules evangelists in churches willing to make an all-out effort to reach the lost.
Fordham is a member of Harp’s Crossing Baptist Church, Fayetteville, Ga. He is a graduate of Samford University in Birmingham and holds a master of divinity degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and a doctor of ministry degree from Immanuel Bible College & Theological Seminary in Peachtree City, Ga. He currently is an adjunct evangelism instructor at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Mo.
