Q: How did you become a Christian?
A: I became a Christian at 12 years of age at Union Baptist Church in Hot Coffee, Miss. I attended other churches as well. I was baptized in Okhay Creek.

Q: How have churches changed throughout your life?
A: (Daughter) The music has changed with the addition of organs. The sanctuaries have gotten more comfortable with cushions, air conditioners and electric lights. She can remember when there were no electric lights and they used coal oil (kerosene) lanterns.

Q: What have you gotten from this ministry over the years?
A: (Daughter) Her knowledge of the Bible is legendary.

Q: What jobs have you held in the church?
A: I served as church hostess for 15 years and planned weddings. I was a choir member until I was 75. Making bridal gowns was my special service to the bride. I charged a penny for this service.
