Retired Alabama Baptist pastor Samuel Andrew Granade died Jan. 19. He was 89. A graduate of Howard College (now Samford University) in Birmingham and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky., Granade served as a chaplain during World War II.
