Edward Harbin, longtime pastor of Mount Ararat Baptist Church in Woodville, died Feb. 6. He was 79.
Harbin served the largest part of his more-than-50-year ministry as pastor of Mount Ararat Baptist for 46 years.
He is survived by his wife, Cherry; daughter, Melody; son, Timothy; and two grandchildren.

James McLain — former pastor of churches in Clarke and Washington Baptist associations — died July 28. He was 77.
