NEW YORK — Morality in Media (MIM), a watchdog group that tracks obscenity in the mainstream media, has launched ObscenityCrimes.org to report possible violations of federal Internet pornography laws.
Visitors to the site can report possible online pornography crimes. By filling out a report form, one is not necessarily accusing anyone of a crime but merely asking that a U.S. Attorney investigate for possible violations of federal Internet obscenity laws. MIM forwards the reports received on the site to the appropriate U.S. Attorney, as well as to the Justice Department’s Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section in Washington, D.C., for investigation.
