NASHVILLE — Year-to-date contributions through the Southern Baptist Convention’s Cooperative Program are up 6.77 percent compared to the same time frame in 2003, which is October through January. This information comes from SBC Executive Committee President and Chief Executive Officer Morris H. Chapman.
As of Jan. 31, 2004, the year-to-date total of $65,371,980.09 for Cooperative Program (CP) is $4,143,136.31 ahead of the $61,228,843.78 received at this same point in 2003. For the month, receipts of $20,102,270.24 were 6.52 percent, or $1,229,833.02, above the $18,872,437.22 received in January 2003.
For the SBC Cooperative Program Allocation Budget, the year-to-date total of $65,371,980.09 is 107.57 percent of the $60,774,370 budgeted, or $4,597,610.09 above budget to support Southern Baptist ministries globally and across North America.
The SBC operates on an Oct. 1–Sept. 30 fiscal year.
