Edwin Jenkins’ first official ministry position was at First Baptist Church, Trussville, in 1969, and this year he celebrated his 50th year in gospel ministry.
Jenkins currently serves as interim/transitional pastor at Sherwood Baptist Church, Huntsville. He has served as a pastor for 33 years and spent 10 years with the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions.
Jenkins retired from First Baptist Church, Athens, in 2015 and has served as transitional pastor at Mount Zion Baptist Church and Wall Highway Baptist Church, both in Huntsville. He also served as interim/transitional director of missions for Morgan Baptist Association.
Jenkins says he hopes to continue in ministry for many more years.
“I want to be a good steward of the excellent health God has blessed me with,” he said.
